Creativity and mechanics in Design for Public, Private and Institutional clients
Our team is proud to have designed the comprehensive renovation of the baseball and softball complex at Martin Luther King High School in Riverside. The project elevates the Varsity and JV baseball fields, along with the Varsity and JV softball fields, into a cohesive, high-performance athletic environment that balances functionality, safety, and school identity.
Design Highlights:
Premium artificial turf installed on the Varsity Baseball field, complete with the official school logo to reinforce campus pride and deliver a durable, consistent playing surface
Full renovation of the natural turf on the JV Baseball, Varsity Softball, and JV Softball fields, preceded by major soil remediation to correct poor existing soils that could not sustain healthy turf
New fencing carefully detailed to improve player and spectator safety, define field boundaries, and elevate the overall aesthetic of the complex
A purpose-designed bullpen for Varsity Baseball, strategically sited and configured to support pitcher development and efficient team operations, while protecting player safety by relocating it out of the field of play into a protected area
Through thoughtful site planning, extensive soil remediation, careful material selection, and close attention to athletic program needs, the design creates a modern, resilient home for Wolves baseball and softball—one that enhances the student-athlete experience and strengthens the identity of Martin Luther King High School.
